With smartphones becoming mainstream, the success of the iPad and Samsung Galaxy, and the recent onslaught of tablet devices that have hit the market, all businesses need to pay close attention to our mobile strategies and tactics.
AlertSite recently expanded our monitoring network with four Over-the-Air (OTA) mobile monitoring locations, bringing a real perspective to how your regular and mobile websites are performing on mobile carrier networks.
The newest additions to our monitoring network include:
- Sprint’s 4G wireless network in Atlanta, Ga.
- AT&T’s 3G wireless network in Atlanta, Ga.
- Sprint’s 3G wireless network in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
- AT&T’s 3G wireless network in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Later this week we are hosting a webinar, All You Need to Know About the Mobile Web Experience, to explain how you can improve the mobile user experience through network and OTA site monitoring. If you’re investing at all in your mobile presence, be sure to register.
I’ve received mixed feedback from customers about their emphasis on measuring website performance from the mobile carrier networks. The majority of the input I have at this point suggests that many users are focused on ensuring their sites perform well, but are unsure about the direct benefits of measuring carrier network performance.
I’d love to hear what you think. Comments are welcome.
