Agile development focuses on fast and efficient software delivery. Agile testing requires the same speed and flexibility. Software teams recognize that early testing increases the feedback that drives the success of Agile projects, but to be truly Agile, teams must be able to respond to changing requirements, quality and team issues quickly, efficiently and effectively.
Lots of companies perform static analysis on their code. Developers who participate in this process know that running static analysis tools, while great at detecting certain classes of defects, cannot find all of them. In fact, statistics prove that static analysis and code review together find more bugs than either technique alone; finding all the issues requires more than one approach.
Yesterday we announced general availability of our API Complete capability. As with any major release, the CodeCollaborator team has received a steady stream of feedback on version 7.0 since its January release. What’s impressed us the most is how focused and passionate our users have been about the features they use every day. With the release of version 7.1 we’ve listened to our users and made improvements to key areas of the user interface. We have also introduced a few entirely new features that should make this service release a must have for all of our customers. This release also includes performance enhancements for older versions of Internet Explorer.
