iPhone 4 can't take down Verizon's website

 

It's official. The iPhone 4 hit Verizon stores following two days of pre-order sales. Last week we reported that Verizon's website maintained 100 percent availability during the first day of pre-orders, which were sold-out by 8:10 p.m. EST that evening. And yesterday, the iPhone became available again for another round of pre-orders.

Verizon website holds up to iPhone 4 pre-orders

 

There were many sleep-deprived Verizon Wireless customers yesterday. That's because the long-awaited iPhone 4 became available for pre-order on the website at 3 a.m. EST yesterday morning. According to Verizon Wireless, the company sold more iPhones in the first two hours, between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., than any other device during its first day launch. And by 8:10 p.m. EST, Verizon announced that iPhone 4 pre-orders were sold-out.
