How to Use Google Chart Tools with Web Applications

Google Chart - What is your favorite pie flavor?

Google Charts makes it easy to show data visually and beautifully. You can show historical trends or by categories. Depending on the data your site gathers, you can show which users have the best reputation, which products sell best, or which topics are most active. You can display data with pie charts, bar graphs, or area charts. You could even display a map showing the importance of each country or city when looking at the number of users or the amount of time and money they spend on your site.

Check. Man jumping from space? Double check!

Maps, Startups and the End of the World... or Not [Software Scramble]

End of the World

Alright, so we've got exactly one week before the world is blasted into oblivion by a giant rogue planet, aliens, zombies, solar flares or an extremely rare annual planetary-solar-galactic allignment. Right. So, since we'll all be busy dealing with that next week, I figured it was a good time to get in one last Software Scramble.

Maybe you can’t use a map in your application to save the world, but you might set a more modest goal, such as helping the business improve sales. Fortunately, by using the Google Maps API, it’s easy to build in location-specific functionality that helps people visualize your application’s data. Here’s an overview and a simple example.
